Mother's Day weekend 2013

This must be getting to be an annual picture taking event. Collin taking a picture in front of the pumpkin patch. We should do that as a growth picture.
We also started our summer tradition, Friday night floats (root beer floats) but it was on Saturday night this week.

In Primary, one of the counselors helped the Jr. Primary make the cutest little cookie flower basket. It was hilarious to hear all the kids' comments. Collin's? "Mom, you can't eat this until after I eat it". He was totally serious.
I'm wondering how many mamas actually got to eat their gift. It was such a nice low key Mother's Day. The best part of the weekend? Liam took a 4 hour nap on Saturday (he won't take naps for me anymore even though he still needs them) so I got LOTS done....

Collin graduates from preschool

Here is Collin the morning of his preschool graduation. I told him I had to have a nice smile picture and a silly one. This one turned out great!
This one was MUCH more Collin.
The thing Collin was most excited about was the "refreshments served in the preschool after graduation". Ever since he got the invite, that's what he tells everyone. Treats are after I graduate!
Walking in. This was a great preschool for Collin. It was right down the street at the big high school.
And even though I "tried" to tell Collin to sing the songs, he told me for several days, "Mom, I'm not going to sing ONE song". And yes, for most songs, he didn't. He sang one.

So, the mind-of-his own Collin sat most of the time while everyone else sang cute and danced. He did sing and do actions to little bunny foo foo. "Mom, I sang that one!"

The part I found most unique was what the students (high school teachers) said about Collin. Kind and gentle. Loving and patient. Reserved in what he did. This child I do not know. But, I'm glad teachers know him.
Congrats Collin !

Kitchen remodel the new microwave goes in along with side touchups

The bottom of the cabinets all got this cool little side piece along the bottom so it blends in with the floor better.
The day of the microwave above the stove

Little tricky getting the venting put in

Now we have a microwave and SO much free counter space with it going up not on the counter.
And look! Already there is stuff on the counters.....

Boys' haircuts

A woman in my ward helped show me how to cut the boys' hair better..... and then styled their hair so cute, so I got some pictures.

 Liam especially looked so cute.
Just cute updated pics, sorry Liam's is in a stroller :)

Kitchen remodel the handles and knobs start going in

How many pictures does Alisa want of her trying to look "manly"with a power tool?
Yes, we still have some to do, but the pulls are going in.

Me trying to be very precise.

The bus ride to the zoo

Okay, somehow these pictures totally got out of order. Collin got to go tot he zoo with his preschool. This was his picture before we left.
He was TOTALLY more excited to ride the bus, since we have obviously been to the zoo lots of times this year, but we have NEVER ridden a bus.

 His little buddies :)

Time to load up. What purposeful strides.
A tear here thinking Collin looks so big getting on the bus.
The cool lego animals on display now at the zoo. Liam LOVED these.
This doesn't do it justice but on our ride home we randomly saw a "knight" on a motorcycle. Not sure why it was so funny, but it was. Full on knight helmet. It looked funnier from the front, but that picture didn't turn out.

Kitchen remodel the granite goes in

Don't you love how clean and naked our kitchen is? This was the day the countertops went in. This was an exciting day.

We cleaned all the stuff out of the drawers that was sitting on top and here come the guys.

It was actually quite cool to see how they did it.
This was the first piece to go in by the stove. You can't really tell the color in these pictures, but there is a lot of movement.

 They were so fast!

Can't tell you HOW excited I am about this island countertop....my new best friend.

The cleanest you will ever see our counter...ha ha.

WAHOO for counters again!
